Personal Project: Party Event Intro, Done In After Effects

In between my kinda repetitive regular motion graphics job and this blog I sometimes do little animations for friends here and there. Recently, a friend asked me to do a small intro for a party they were organizing in Germany. I only had a day to do it and only received 3 pictures, one song and a flyer. They wanted it to resemble this flyer:

Flyer

They wanted it B&W like the flyer too, so not much room for improvisation neither. Anyway, I kept the simplistic look with the diagonal lines, used some Plexus for the background but had to change that font they used for the flyer. This is what I came up with:

With more time I would probably have done something in 3D but then it probably wouldn’t resemble the flyer anymore. Anyway, they loved it… and I’m starting to like it too… I just hate having such tight deadlines though!

I’d love to see how you made it with the AE template, if possible a tutorial would also be awesome. Great work!

    • Ok will clean it up and upload pretty soon. Not sure if I’ll have enough time for a tutorial though..

Just wondering if you have put this template out yet? Love it!

Hi, I’m really sorry but after removing every picture and cloud video there sadly isnt much left. 2 plug-ins (Plexus and OF) were used as well and without them it wouldnt look the same neither.
